We have an excellent relationship with professional advisors throughout Kankakee and Iroquois Counties… and these “gatekeepers” are very important as we grow philanthropy in our own backyard.

The Community Foundation also offers other foundations in the area an opportunity to promote and combine their funds with ours – for a more efficient and effective impact in Greater Kankakee and Iroquois Counties. Establishing an Endowment Fund is probably the best way to assure that a gift will “go on forever.”
Simply put, it’s a charitable fund that distributes only a small percentage of its value each year. It can be very specific, or quite general. It allows a donor to be active in its distribution, or gives that responsibility to the Community Foundation. The bottom line: an Endowment Fund is designed to exist in perpetuity.
